Professor in the Dept. of Molecular Biology and Genetics at John Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Greider obtained her B.A. degree in Biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1983. In 1987, she received her Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley while working in Dr. Blackburn's laboratory. Dr. Greider received the Schering-Plough Scientific Achievement Award, American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1997 and the Cornelius Rhodes Award in 1996.
