Amanda Chiu

As Director of Finance, Amanda oversees Gairdner's financial operations, forecasting, and reporting, providing strategic financial leadership to support the Foundation's mission and long-term sustainability. She is responsible for managing Gairdner's financial resources through effective controls, risk management, and compliance practices, including oversight of funding and reporting requirements. Amanda also serves as Board Secretary, supporting the Board of Directors and its Audit, Investment and Governance, Nominating, and Human Resources Committees.

Amanda is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with experience in audit, financial accounting, and nonprofit financial management. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
