In her role as the Executive Assistant, Jean reports to the President and the Executive Vice-President. As the Events Coordinator, Jean’s responsibilities include logistical organization of several external Gairdner events. She also coordinates the execution of Gairdner’s impactful programs that include virtual science discussion panels, research symposia, Gala, and scientific lectures.

Prior to joining the Gairdner Foundation, Jean spent over 15 years within the healthcare and research sectors and has worked closely with physicians, researchers, and staff at University Health Network (UHN) and Sunnybrook Research Institute to ensure the effective and efficient running of projects and programs. Jean is an experienced Events Planner and Coordinator.

Jean holds a certificate in Project Management from Project Management Workshops at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center and completed a Principals of Clinical Research (GCP) Certificate Course at University Health Network. She also has a Business Management certificate from Jamaica School of Business, CMP certificate and diploma from the North American School of Podology and a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certificate from the Ministry of Labor.
