Dr. Jennifer Gommerman is a Professor in the Department of Immunology at the University of Toronto and holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Tissue-Specific Immunity.

She earned her Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Toronto, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Gommerman's research focuses on the role of B lymphocytes in autoimmune diseases, particularly multiple sclerosis (MS), and the antibody response to SARS-CoV-2 in COVID-19 patients. Her work has significantly advanced the understanding of autoimmunity and adaptive immunity.
