Jessica McAlpine

Dr. Jessica McAlpine is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and serves as Co-Head of the Division of Gynaecologic Oncology at Vancouver General Hospital.
As a surgeon-scientist, Dr. McAlpine's research focuses on the molecular subtypes of endometrial, ovarian, and vulvar cancers, as well as the prevention of ovarian cancers. She is a key member of OVCARE, British Columbia’s Gynecological Cancer Research group, and serves as the Director of the OVCARE Tissue Bank. Her work has led to significant advancements in the molecular classification of gynecologic cancers, influencing both national and international clinical practices.
Dr. McAlpine has received numerous accolades, including the Dr. Chew Wei Memorial Chair in Gynaecologic Oncology and a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Molecular Classification of Gynecologic Cancers. Her contributions have been instrumental in improving diagnostic and treatment strategies for gynecologic cancers, enhancing patient outcomes both locally and globally.
