2025 University of Alberta Program

This fall, we are excited to welcome Dr. Spyros Artavanis-Tsakonas, 2025 Canada Gairdner International Award laureate, and Dr. Meghan Azad, 2024 Peter Gilgan Canada Gairdner Momentum Award laureate to the University of Alberta as part of our 2025 Gairdner Connects programming. We invite high school students, undergraduate students, researchers, faculty, and the broader academic community to attend this special event.

The program will include a morning high school student lecture with an interactive Q&A session, followed by a student networking lunch. In the afternoon, a university lecture and Q&A will take place, immediately followed by an open networking reception, all scheduled for Monday, October 20.
