2025 Western University Program
This fall, we are excited to welcome Dr. Spyros Artavanis-Tsakonas, 2025 Canada Gairdner International Award laureate, to Western University as part of the Gairdner Connects University Lecture Program. We invite undergraduate students, researchers, faculty, and the broader academic community to attend this special event.
Dr. Artavanis-Tsakonas is internationally recognized for his pioneering work on the Notch signalling pathway, which has significantly advanced our understanding of how cells communicate with each other during development, how these signals regulate cell fate determination, and how disruptions can lead to developmental defects and cancer.
Schedule
The program will feature a university lecture and interactive Q&A session on Wednesday, October 22, providing an opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Artavanis-Tsakonas.
