Dominic Schofield
With over thirty years in international development, Dominic Schofield has held leadership roles with the United Nations, private, and not-for-profit sectors, working in North America, the Caribbean, sub-Saharan Africa, and South and Southeast Asia.
Dominic's expertise lies in public health, food, and nutrition security, building multisectoral alliances, policy advocacy, and innovative finance. He has led initiatives in technology transfer, skills development, and strategic planning in low- and middle-income countries. His career includes significant roles at TechnoServe, UNICEF, IDRC, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), and the Micronutrient Initiative.
Dominic currently leads one of TechnoServe's three priority development strategies, focusing on transforming local agri-food systems for improved health, environmental sustainability, and prosperity. As Director of TechnoServe’s Agri-Food Systems Practice, he supports businesses and organizations in scaling social impact initiatives across over 30 countries.
Dominic holds a BA in Economic Geography from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa. He is also a Professor of Practice at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management and a Professional Affiliate at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Pharmacy and Nutrition.
